About Me
Attorney, Wifey, Autism Mommy, and now a part-time blogger.
My husband and I, along with our 18 month old son, had to relocate to Canada for his job several years ago. During our time there we discovered our son had autism and as a result had to make smart choices about getting him the right therapies as early as possible. A decision had to be made regarding whether or not I should return to work. Not having family around and living in a new country the writing was pretty much on the wall - We had to focus on him and his therapies and going back to law was not a priority. This is when I started advocating for my son instead, for autism awareness and acceptance. Eventually I discovered blogging and dabbled with it a bit on Facebook.
We recently moved back to our home country and discovered that there is still so much that needs to be done regarding autism awareness and acceptance. So I decided to return to blogging, but to go the extra mile and actually create a website. My hope is that by sharing my journey many will become more aware and there will be much more acceptance of our special loved ones and friends who have special needs. Also, that families facing an autism diagnosis or those caring for someone with autism will find comfort in knowing they're not alone and that there is life and joy after an autism diagnosis.
